Shawl #3

I'm still working on this one @ Let's get started: Cast on 52 sts. (If using lace weight yarn, I recommend casting on with yarn held double.) CO row counts as Set-up Row 1. Set-up Row 2 (WS): knit all sts Set-up Row 3 (RS): knit all sts Set-up Row 4 (Ws): k3, purl to last 3 sts, k3 Work Rows a-h once. Continue with Rows 1-24. From here on, you have two choices. Option 1: For a shawl worked in one piece, repeat Rows 1-24 a total of 20 to 24 times, depending on yarn amount available and personal preference. In the last pattern repeat, stop after having just completed a Row 22. Now, work Rows a-g (!) in reversed order (going from g-a). Next Row (Ws): k3, purl to last 3 sts, k3 Knit for another two rows, then bind offallsts. (lf using lace weight yarn, bind off with yarn held double.)

Option 2:

For a shawl worked in two pieces, start shawl as indicated in Option 1, working 10 to 12 pattern repeats for the first half of the shawl. The last ptten repeat will be afullreeat, too. Do not bind off. Leave live sts on needle. Using a spare pairof neeles in the same ize, work an identical second piece, leaving sts on needle. Graf thetwo pieces together in Kitchener stitch, or join them using the three-needle bind-off method. Wet block the finished shawl.
