Materials:
Cannon size 8 thread (shown on the left), or Anchor size 1o thread (shown on the right) (Cannon SCo34 and Anchor KAM16 used in this project) Inox crochet hook, size 2.5 mm. (U.S. equivalent B-1) Hair elastic (Goody “ouchless" elastics used in this project) Yarn needle for weaving ends Gauge: not important ch = chain, ss = slip stitch, sc = single crochet, st = stitch rnd = round Attach the thread to the elastic with a knot, Rnd 1: Ch 6 (counts as first loop), \* turn the loop around the elastic, from back to front passing through inner circle of elastic, remove hook from loop, and bring the hook on top and pick up the loop again on the right side. Ss on the elastic, ch 5, repeat from \* around approx 45 times or until elastic is fairly covered. Join to 1st ch at the beginning of rnd. Rnd 2: \*sc in loop, (ch 3, sc) 8 times in same loop, keeping the loop on hook, turn the hook around elastic in same manner as in rnd 1, pick up the loop on the right side, repeat from \* on each loop around.
