Work 1 [1, 2, 2] repeat[s] of stripe sequence, increasing Cornflower Blue and Pewter only. Work 3 [3, 4, 4] repeat[s] of stripe sequence, increasing Pewter only. If you want to make your skirt shorter or longer, this is the place to do it. For bottom border, work first 12 rounds of stripe sequence, then work 8 rounds garter (knit 1 round, purl 1 round) in Dragon and 16 rounds garter in Pewter. Bind off loosely. Cast on 170 [185, 205, 220] with Pewter and US size 5 needles. Work 7 rows flat in stockinette, join for working in the round, purl one round, knit 7 rounds, change to Dragon (this counts as first row in both stripe and increase sequences) and knit each stitch together with the corresponding cast on stitch to create elastic casing, marking every 34th [37th, 41st, 44th] stitch. Work 1 [1, 2, 2] repeat[s] of stripe sequence, increasing every stripe.
