Directions
Cast on 68 sts on size 8 circular needle . Beginning of round is in the middle of the back. You will be knitting back and forth. If you choose to use mir+mil, you will have to purl one row before you start row 1. Row 1: K 14, \* yo or (mir), sl m, k1, sl m, yo or (mil), K10, \* yo or (mir), sl m, ki, sl m, yo or (mal), k24, \* yo or (mar), sl m, k1, sl m, yo or (mil), k10, \* yo or (mar), sl m, k1, sl m, yo or (mal), k 6 Row 2: purl Row 3: K to first marker, \* yo or (mir), sl m, k1, sl m, yo or (mal), kto the next marker,\* rep'from \* to \* 3 times more, kto end of row Row 4 : Purl Repeat rows 3 and 4 until you have increased the number of stitches to 156 Having worked a total of i1 increase rounds. If you choose to use mir+mil, you will have to knit 4 more rows in stockinette before you set sleeves aside.
Set sleeves aside on scrap yarn
Knit to the first marker,\*remove marker, knit the stitch, remove the next marker. Place sleeve stitches on holder or scrap yarn 32 sts. Cast on 3. sts. onto right needle using backward loop method. Knit stitches from the left needle, removing markers from both sides of the stitch. Continue to knit to the next marked sts\*.rep from \* to\* , knit to end of row.(g8 sts left on your needle) Continue to knit in stockinette until cardigan measures 10/25.5 inches/cm, or to desired length Increase or decrease for rib as follows +1 sts. ( 99 left on your needle) You will now have a multiple of 5+4 sts. This will ensure that your ribbing come out peachy perfect. Change to CCi and knit one round even. Work next eight rows in rib stitch. Row 1: K4, \*p1, k4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of row. Row 2: P4,\*k1, p4\*, rep from \*to\* to end of row. Row 3-8: Repeat rows 1 and 2 3 times more. Bind off.

RIGHT BACK BAND
With right side facing and CC1, pick up and knit aprox. 3 stitches for every 4 rows evenly spaced along the right back egde. You will have to pick up a multiple of 5+4 stitches to ensure that the ribbing comes out perfect. You might have to pick up more or less stitches if you use a different yarn than what the pattern calls for. Make a swatch to measure how many sts to pick up. (you will start to pick up from the bottom right side piece and work your way up. You will start to knit as follows: Row 1(RS): K4, \*p1, k4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of row. Row 2(WS): P4, \* k1, p4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of row. Row 3-14: repeat these two rows 6 times more. Bind off. Now you will seam together the two back pieces using mattress stitch, or other preferred method. Block the sweater before seaming, to make it easier to seam the two back pieces together.
NECK BAND
With right side facing and CC1, pick up and knit 79 sts evenly spaced around entire neck. You will start to pick up at left front raglan seam. You will now be knitting in the round Round 1(RS): \*K4, p1, k4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of round. Round 2(RS): \*K4, p1, k4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of round, then cast on 6 stitches onto your needle using backward loop method.Turn Work. You will know be knitting back and forth. Row 1(Ws): P 10, \* k1, p4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of row. Row 2: \*K4, p1\*, rep from \*to \* until 10 stitches before end of row, k10 Row 3: P10, \*k1, p4\*, rep from \*to\* to end of row. Row 4: (Buttonhole row )K3, k2tog, yo \*k4, p1\*, rep from \*to \* until 1o stitches before end of row, k 10 Row 5: P 10, \*k1, p4\*, rep from \* to\* to end of row. SLEEVES
Round i:Transfer the held stitches onto your needles, attach yarn and knit until you come to the stitches that were cast on at the underarm. Pick up and knit 5 sts. Round 2: Knit until you come to the new stitches, k2tog 3 times. Continue to knit until the underarm measures (4/1o) inches/cm from the armhole, orto desiredlength Bind off. Repeat on the other arm Finishing: Work in all ends. Block to shape. Sew the button flap together with the garment and sew on 1 button.
