NEEDLES: round needle size 3.5 mm and a set of 5 double-pointed needles size 3.5 mm for sleeves and hat. Crochet needle size 3.5 mm. Work 4 RNDs in P then BO. Adjust the lengths to accommodate the edging of your choice.
NECK EDGE:
Singe crochet a row in YB around neck line and crew neck opening. In YB, crochet 3 loops for buttoning crew neck: chain crochet a single row and join the ends.
ASSEMBLY:
No assembly required for the sweater. Sew in 3 buttons on the right side of the crew neck and 3 crochet buttoning loops to the left side of the crew neck.
DIAGRAM:

HAT CO 112 sts in YA, using a set of 5 double-pointed needles size 3.5 mm. Place marker at beg of 1st RND. Work 20 RDS in K. Cut YA, join YB and cont in Patt B for 22 RNDs. Cut YB, join YC and cont in Patt B for 8 RNDs then K for 30 RNDs. Cut YC, join YA and K one RND. Check that there are 28 sts on each of the 4 needles. Beg to dec 1 st at the end of each needle by K2tog until 16 sts left. K2tog until 1 st rem. Cut off yarn and pull through the rem st to finish.
