Materials:

Scraps of yarn you like. I used 39 grams of Kauni (fingering weight - 438 yards/100 grams) scraps - but I'm sure the pattern works with other yarns as well. Needles 3mm/2.5 US Two buttons Size: The doll is 15". The bag is 7.5" (15") wide and 11.5" long. The straps are 5.5". Stitch: Linen stitch: Right side: \* knit one, slip one with yarn in front\* Wrong side: \* purl one, slip one with yarn in back\*

(you work only on every second stitch - the other ones are slipped. On the second row you work on the other half of the stitches and slip the ones you knitted in the first row) Gauge: 4" $(10c m)=26$ stitches / 44 rows Instructions: Cast on 100 stitches, work linen stitch. Work two rows with Color A; 2 rows with Color B; 2 rows with Color C. Then take Color A again.. Work 9". RS: \*Knit 3, knit 2 together \* repeat from \* to \* (= 80 stitches) WS: \*Knit one, purl one \* repeat from \* to \* Work \* k1, p1 \* for 8 rows (Don't change colors anymore). Next row: \* knit one, purl one \* over 32 stitches, bind off 2,\* knit one purl one \* over 12 stitches, bind off 2, \* knit one, purl one \* over 32 stitches. Next row: Continue \*knit one, purl one \*, cast on 2 stitches over the bound-off stitches. Next two rows: \*knit one, purl one \* Next row: Bind off 6, $\star_{\mathsf{k l}}$ p1 \* over 8 stitches, then put these 8 stitches on a security needle; Bind off 52,\* k1, $\mathsf{p}1^{\star}$ over 14 stitches. Next row: Bind off 6, continue working $\star\,{\sf k l}$ $\mathsf{p}1^{\star}$ over 40 rows (8 stitches of first strap). Bind off. Cut yarn.

Put the 8 stitches of the security needle back on your needle and work 40 rows $\star_{{\sf k l}}$ p1 \* ; bind off, cut yarn. Weave in all ends. Sew the sleeping bag together (the seem is on the center of the back; you also have to sew the bottom).
