MATERIALS
Two skeins of a worsted weight yarn or one skein of a Bulky or super Bulky weigh Shown in pictures: Double strand of Bernat Satin. Color: Sik 04007 1 set of US size #8 circular needles 24 in 1 set of US size #10 1/2 circular needles 24 in Set of US size 10 1/2 double pointed needles Tapestry Needle Stitch markers

GAUGE Stockinette:14 sts / $20\mathrm{\rows}=\ 4$ inches using US size 10 1/2 needles.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Width:8 inches Height: 12 inches

ABBREVIATIONS:
k1 Knit one stitch p1 Purl one stitch ssk Slip one stitch knit-wise, then slip the next. Insert left needle into the front loops of the slipped stitches and knit them together from this position (through the back loops). k2tog Knit two stitches together.
DIRECTIONS:
With US #8 circular needles and using a double strand of yarn, cast on 80 sts. Place stitch marker and join the circle.

Work in the round k1, p1 rib for 10 rows
Base of Hat
Switch to US #10 1/2 circular needles, Work in the round k1,p1 rib until piece measures about 10 inches.
