Notes
Body of vest is worked flat from the bottom up to the armholes. The front and back are then worked separately to the shoulders. The button bands are worked along with the body. Stitches are picked uj for the collar ribbing and worked flat. Stitches are picked up for the armhole ribbing and worked in the round. ·A single short row shapes each shoulder (see Helpful Links) · The 3-needle Bind Off is used to seam the shoulders (see Helpful Links) To eliminate bulk when joining new balls of yarn, use the ‘spit-splicing? technique (see Helpful Links)

Armhole ribbing: With RS facing and using shorter circular needle, join yarn at bottom of underarm, pick up and knit 62 (62, 62, 62, 63, 72, 72, 72) sts to bottom of underarm on other side. Pm and join to work in the rnd. Work 2 rnds of \*k1, p1\* ribbing, then BO all sts in rib. Rep for other armhole. Collar: Note—collar includes 2 button holes. Read through this section before continuing. Return sts on waste yarn for right front to needle. With RS facing, work button hole over first 6 sts of button band, sl m, work sts as presented across slalom panel, pm, pick up and knit 13 sts to slalom panel on vest back and pm, return back slalom panel sts to needle and work sts as presented across slalom panel, pm, pick up and knit 13 sts to end of left front.
