Directions:

Cast on 100 stitches with MC onto circular needle Place marker and join into round (be careful not to twist your Sts) Round 1: \*K1, P1, repeat from \* to end of round. Repeat this round until brim measures $2^{\prime\prime}$ (or desired brim length) from cast on edge. Next round: $^{*}\mathrm{K}1$ , Kfb of next stitch, repeat from \* to end of round. (150 stitches) Take out marker and K2, replace marker (this is your new end of round, not the tail). \*With MC ssk (one of MC and one of CC), CC k6, MC yo, k2, repeat from \* until the end of round. Continue in this pattern until hat measures $6^{\prime\prime}$ from cast on edge. Begin hat decreases (switch to dpns when there are too few stitches to stretch around the circular needle). Continue is colors already established (you will be decreasing with the Venezia on the ssk's). Round 1: \*with MC sl 1, k2tog, psso, CC k5, MC yo, k2, repeat

from \* to end.

Round 2: \*with MC ssk, CC k5, MC yo, k2, repeat from \* to end. Round 3: \*with MC sl 1, k2tog, psso, CC k4, MC yo, k2, repeat from \* to end. Round 4: \*with MC ssk, CC k4, MC yo, k2, repeat from \* to end. Round 5: \*with MC sl 1, k2tog, psso, CC k3, MC yo, k2, repeat from \* to end.
