MATERIALS
Yarn—aran-weight yarn in acrylic, wool, or cotton as you like with 16 sts in 4 in in garter st Needles: Us 7 or 8 or size for gauge (this block finishes 'small so it might be wise to go up a needle size), hook about the same; I use Us G or 4.5 mm Yarnneedle 2 stitch markers
B-Bobble: In next st, kfbf (knit front, back, front), turn, purl 3 sts, turn, k2tog, k1, pass k2tog over the k1. On the following rows after the bobbles, work the stitches on either side of them snugly, and finger press bobble to right/show side.
ssk: slip st as if to knit, slip next st as if to knit, return both stitches to the left needle, and simultaneously knit them together through the back loops. gtbl: knit two stitches together; knit two stitches together through back loof PM: place a stitch marker S3: seed 3 sts as (k1, p1, k1) C1/2R: Cross 1 over 2 right. Place next 2 sts on cable needle and leave at back, knit next st, and then knit 2 sts from cn C2/1L: Cross 2 under 1 left. Place next st on cn and leave at front, knit next 2 sts, and then knit the st from the cn kVinc: place the right side of stitch below the current st on the left hand needle, knit it, and then knit the original st. A smooth increase of one. pVinc: same process, but purl both. RS/Ws: right or show side/wrong or non-show side
