Cut yarn, leaving a 3-4 inch tail, use a tapestry needle to pass the end tail through middle of the yarn circle while it is still on your finger. Use double blanket stitch to tie, remove yarn circle from your finger, double knot first tail with last tail. Cut yarn circle through top of loops (opposite to the knots). Trim if necessary for very small pom-pom and tidy finish. Attach to top of hat.
Sizing
If you substitute DC for wherever HDC is used in this pattern, you will end up with a hat to fit a baby of approximately 2oweeks gestation. FINISHOFF.YOUAREDONE s pattern was developed for and donated to Little Angels Memory Boxes by @Laura Pavy
