AMALIA HAT

Yarn: 100% wool 110m(120 yards)/50 g 75 g of the lighter color 25 g of the darker color Nedles: 3.5 mm dpns Gauge: 24 sts and 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4in x4 in (in case your gauge is off, try knitting with smaller or larger needle to achieve better results) The hat is made for a head circumference 56 cm/22 in and is slouchy enough to put an elbow-length hair under it. If you need a bit smaller you can knit in a rubber thread into the rib. For slightly bigger hat you can use 3.75 or 4 mm needles, it would still look good, or start with 132 sts instead of 126 and don't make an increase in the gth round (that would make the rib wider but the hat wouldn't be slouchier). K =knit M1=make one stitch -1 st= decrease by one stitch M2col= make two stitches increasing by 1-1 st in the darker color next to the columns of the darker color CO 126 sts on 4 needles (31+32+31+32). Join in round an knit 8 rounds in 1/1 rib R9: k10 M1 k21 M1 k21 M1 k21 M1 k21 M1 k21 M1 k11 R10: start working the chart:

R46: knit across (from now on using only the lighter color) R47: knit across Start decreasing 6 sts in every round (k2tog on above the last decreases between the repetitions of the chart in R48 and k2tog on the same place and every following round) until you have only 6 sts left. Bind Off. Have a good time knitting and wearing this hat! If you have any questions / doubts regarding this pattern, please feel free to contact me.
