Instructions:
· With Yin, provisionally CO 2 sts with waste yarn and crochet hook · Knit 2 rows (garter st). At the end of 2nd row do not turn work · Pick up and knit 1 st along side of the small garter st rect angle you have just knit, then undo provisional CO and put those 2 sts on the needle and knit - 5 sts ·Row 1: k2, yo, pm, k1, pm, yo, k2 (2 sts increased) · Row 2: k2, purl to last 2 sts, k2 · Row 3: k2, yo, knit to marker, yo, k1, yo, knit to last 2 sts, yo, k2 ( 4 sts increased) ·Row 4: as row 2 · Repeat rows 3 and 4 a total of 4 times (this becomes your established pattern) · Switch to Yang, work 8 rows in established pattern · Switch back to Yin, work 8 rows in established pattern · Continue in this manner until 3 yards of yarn remain or 15 stripes have been knit · BO loosely purlwise on RS · Weave in all loose ends with tapestry needle · Block well
