This scarf was inspired by the film “Despicable Me” and is meant to mimic Gru's scarf (for all you wannabe evil-doers).

Notes
This scarf is 210cm (82 1/3 inches or 6 7/8 feet) long and 6.5cm (2.5 inches) wide. It is reasonably thin at 0.5 cm (3/16 inches). Gauge: 10 sts, 5 rows = 3.5cm (1 3/8 inches)
Materials
Worsted weight yarn in black and gray 5mm straight knitting needles Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Pattern
With black, Cast on 20 sts with a 5mm needle. Do 10 rows in 2x2 ribbing. (The 2x2 ribbing is optional in the first and last cuffs) Gray stripe: With gray yarn, do 20 rows in 1x1 ribbing. Black stripe: With black yarn, do 10 rows in 1x1 ribbing. Do 15 gray stripes and 14 black stripes (approximately 204 cm/ 6 2/3 feet long). Change to black. Do 10 rows in 2x2 ribbing.
