Yarn:
3 skeins Tupa - Mirasol colorway 817 50 grams = 125 meters 1.76 ounces = 137 yards Needle size: US 7-4.5mm Main pattern: RS: \*1p, 5k\*, end with 1p. WS: \*1k, 5p\*, end with 1k. Gauge after blocking: 14 stitches and 28 rows are 4"/10 cm.

Wingspan along: 64"/160cm. Height from cast on to bind off along the center stitch: 12"/30cm. Height at side: 7"/18cm.
Lace pattern according to the chart:
3 stitches forthe border - 17lace pattern repeats of 20 stitches, plus 1 - 3 stitches for the border. = 347 stitches. Work stitches as they appear (knit the knits, purl the purls, purl the YOs).
Edge stitch:
RS row: slip the 1st stitch purl wise, yarn in front. Knit the last stitch through back loop. WS row: slip the 1st stitch purl wise, yarn in front. Purl the last stitch through back loop.
Let's begin:
Loosely cast on 347 stitches. Work row 0 - 40 of the Chart; 211 stitches remaining on needles. Work short rows: http://techknitting.blogspot.com/2009/10/short-rows-method.html (number 3 b). Row 41: Knit 111 stitches in main pattern; turn. Row 42: wrap yarn to right-hand needle, 5p, 1k, 5p, (11 stitches), turn. Row 43: wrap yarn to right hand needle, 5k, 1p, 5k, p2tog (the wrap-stitch and the next stitch) 5k (total 17 stitches), turn. Row 44: wrap yarn to right-hand needle, 5p, 1k, 5p, 1k, 5p, ssk (slip the wrapped-stitch, knit the next stitch and pull the slipped-stitch over the knitted-stitch), 5p (total 23 stitches), turn.
