MONDRIANDRESS

Front.

When working the patterned front it is easier to use small amounts of the yarn and to weave in your loose ends as you go as this helps prevent too much tangle. Do not carry the threads from one block to another but twist the yarns at the colour change so as not to leave any gaps in the work. Using size 3.25mm needles and BLACK cast on 37sts Rows 1 and2. BEADED BAG

The Bag is 2 crochet granny square, approx. 2.5 sq inches, which are crochet together on 3 sides. Do not break the yarn after crocheting the second side but continue and make a chain stitch strap of approx. 35 single chain. You can then thread this loosely with the plastic beads and secure at the other top side of the bag. If the beads are very tight going over the chain it may stretch the strap so just undo the chain to the desired length. I used 20 plastic beads which I bought in the kiddy's section in Hobbycraft. Plain Dress This has a lower front and back neck to accommodate a t-shirt underneath. If you want just a simple dress make exactly as for the Mondrian Dress but in a plain colour
