Madge's Dotty Knotty Scarf
The Madge Scarf is knit up mainly in garter stitch; with every 1oth row having 'knots'. The scarf is quite wide, so if you'd like to make yours a little narrower, it is worked in multiples of 4+3sts. It's an easily memorable pattern that also knits up rather quickly. You'll need 300g DK weight yarn, and a pair of 4mm needles. MK - Make Knot; Knit into the front, back, front, back, and front of the next stitch, making 5sts in total. Slip the 2d, 3'd, 4th, and 5th stitch over the 1st stitch on the right hand needle, one at a time, and keep the newly made knot to the back of your work as these are made with the Ws facing you. Cast On 55sts Rows 1-9 - Knit. Row 10 - K3, \*MK, K3\*, to the end of the row. Rows 11-19 - Knit. Row 20 - K1, MK, \*K3, MK\*, to the last stitch, K1. End with a row 9, and then bind off, weaving all ends in when finished.
