These lace mitts knit up quickly in your favorite sock yarn and are the perfect weight for wearing both indoors and out. Small cables draw the wrist in and ribs across the palms provide both elasticity and fit. Picot points prevent circulation-restricting bindoffs while providing a decorative touch. The mitts leave your fingers free, allowing freedom of movement while keeping your hands warm.

If you want clear stitch definition for the lace panels, use a solid or semi-solid yarn, not self-striping or hand painted. You only need one 50 gram skein of sock yarn for these. You should have enough for a gauge swatch and both gloves with a little left over.
