Materials
4.5mm knitting needles Large eye hand sewing needle to weave in ends DK yarn 490 (490, 613, 613, 735, 735)m We used Jarol Heritage Wool Rich DK in 137 Lime (55% wool, 25% acrylic, 20% nylon). Look for a yarn with nylon to accentuate the bounce of the garter stitch. Wanda also looks great in cotton blends for a structured look, or yarns with a silk, bamboo or soy content for a gentledrape. nal: 2 pearl buttons, sewing needle, sewing thread to match yarn

40 rows and 16 st = 4" in garter stitch on 4.5mm needles
Sizing
Sized to fit 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42)" bust, with 3" of ease. Where only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.

CO 70 (74, 78, 82, 86, 90) st. K until piece measures 5". BO 4 st, K to last 4 st, BO to end of row. K 3 rows. Decrease row: K 1, SSK, K to last 3 st, knit 2 together (k2tog), K1. Repeat decrease row every 4 rows 12 times more, then every 2 rows 6 times. BO all st. Using mattress stitch for garter stitch fabric, sew one diagonal edge of each sleeve to each diagonal edge of the back, then sew the diagonal edge of each front piece onto the diagonal edge of the sleeves. Sew the sleeve and side seams. Weave in all ends. If desired, fold the edges of the collar down and attach a pearl button to each, sewing through both layers of fabric.
