Yarn
Dale of Norway Stork 197 yards/180 meters. Total Yardage 120 yards/110 meters.
Needles
US size 5 DPNs or needles needed to get gauge. Optional 17 inch US size 5 Circular Needles for main body knitting. Gauge 20 stitches and 32 rows over 4 inches in Main Body Pattern Stitch.

Abbreviations
DPNs = Double Pointed Needles. m1 = make one using backwards loop. yo = yarn over. k = knit. p = purl. k2tog = knit two stitches together.
Pattern
Cast on 8 stitches on DPNs. Place marker at beginning of round, knit one row and join in round. Rnd 1 \*k1,m1\* seven times, k1 (15 sts). Rnd 2 knit. Rnd 3 \*k1,m1\* fifteen times (30 sts). Rnd 4 knit. Rnd 5 \*k1,m1\* thirty times (60 sts). Rnd 6 knit. Rnd 7 \*k1,m1\* sixty times (120 sts). Rnd 8 knit. Rnd 9 \*yo, k2tog\* sixty times (120 sts). Repeat Rnd 9 until bag measures 9 inches from the center of circle. When diameter of knitting is large enough, switch to circular needles if desired. Rnd 10 \*k2tog\* all stitches (60 sts). Rnd 11 purl. Rnd 12 knit. Repeat Rnd 11 and Rnd 12 two times more.
Handles
Rnd 13 p15, bind off 15, p15, bind off 15. Rnd 14 k15, cast on 20, k15, cast on 20, join in round. Rnd 15 purl. Rnd 16 knit. Repeat Rnd 15 and Rnd 16 once more. Bind off all stitches loosely, weave in ends. Optional Drawstring Cut 15 inch length of yarn, and sew yarn into garter stitch around top of bag as drawstring. Knot ends of yarn to keep in place.
