Pattern
Cast on 8 stitches on DPNs. Place marker at beginning of round, knit one row and join in round. Row 1 $^{*}{\sf k1},{\sf m1^{*}}$ seven times, k1 (15 sts). Row 2 knit. Row 3 $^{*}{\sf k1},{\sf m1^{*}}$ fifteen times (30 sts). Row 4 knit. Row 5 $^{*}{\sf k1},{\sf m1^{*}}$ thirty times (60 sts). Row 6 knit. Row 7 $^{*}{\sf k1},{\sf m1^{*}}$ sixty times (120 sts). Row 8 knit. Row 9 \*yo, k2tog\* sixty times (120 sts). Repeat Row 9 until bag measures 9 inches from the center of circle. When diameter of knitting is large enough, switch to circular needles if desired. Row $10*|{\tt k2t o g^{*}}$ all stitches (60 sts). Row 11 purl. Row 12 knit. Repeat Row 11 and Row 12 three times.
Handles
Row 13 p15, bind off 15, p15, bind off 15. Row 14 k15, cast on 20, k15, cast on 20. Row 15 purl. Row 16 knit. Repeat Row 15 and Row 16 once more. Bind off all stitches loosely, weave in ends.

Optional Drawstring
Cut 15 inch length of yarn, and sew yarn into garter stitch around top of bag as drawstring. Knot ends of yarn to keep in place.
