Pattern Directions:
(MAKE 2) Foundation Round 1 : Fsc 21, join with a ss into first ch to form a ring (be careful not to twist your ch) Suggestion: After completing round 1, slide your work over your wrist to make sure that the base is large enough to go over your hand. Adjust your hook up or down by one size and repeat process until you feel that it will properly accommodate your hand. Round 2: Ch 1, sc in same stitch as join. (Place a stitch marker in this sc stitch. This stitch now becomes the "last" stitch of the round.) \* [Sk 2 sts, (sc, hdc, dc) in next st]. Repeat from \*[ to ] to marked sc. Remove marker and complete (sc, hdc, dc) in same st. Move marker to the first sc of the set of three stitches you just completed. As you complete each round, you will not "join" the round, but will continue to move the marker up to the first sc of the last (sc, hdc, dc) group. Round 3-19: Continue to crochet in the round by completing one (sc, hdc, and dc) in each sc st of the previous round. At the end of round 19, join with a ss to first sc of the same round. Ch1. Round 20: Sc in same st as join and in each st around, join with a ss to first sc st, ch 1. (21 sc total for this round) Round 21: Sc in same st as join. Place marker in this first sc st. Sc in next 9 sts. Ch 4, skip next 3 sts, (thumbhole made) sc in last 8 sts of this round. Join with a ss to 1st st of the round, ch1. (Remember to move your marker up as you complete each round.) Round 22: Sc in same st as join and in next 9 sts. Place 3 sc in ch-4 space. Sc in remaining 8 sts. (21 sc total) Round 23 - 30: Without "joining," sc in first marked st of the round and in remaining 20 sts of the round. At the end of round 30, join with a ss and fasten off, weave in tail.
Finishing:
Thumbhole: Attach your yarn in the center st on the underside of the thumbhole. Ch 1, sc in same st as join. Place marker in this same stitch and then place 11 more sc sts evenly around thumb opening. Continue to sc in each st around for a total of 6 rounds. Ss to join, fasten off, weave in tail. Wrist trim: Attach yarn anywhere along the bottom edge of the wrister and work 21 sc sts evenly around. Ss to join, fasten off and weave in tail.
