Sophie's Knit Stuff
Infinity Super Chunky Cowl
Designed by Sophie Le Cuiche. This is really quick to knit because of the yarn thickness; super easy to make once you master the brioche stitch (explanations below). The brioche stitch looks great in this extra thick yarn and gives this twisted cowl the cozyness factor. Level: Beginner Yarn: 1 x 100g Wendy Serenity Super Chunky. Needles: 2 x 10 mm needles (US size 15) - You can also knit this cowl flat using a 10mm circular needle (US 15). Notes: this cowl will stretch after washing so keep in mind that it needs to be knit in a smaller size to allow stretching.
Abbreviations:
k =knit sl = slip pwise = purlwise - as if to purl yf = yarn forward - bring working yarn in front of your Work k2tog = knit 2 together

Knitting instructions:
Cast on 20 stitches. Row 1 (set up row): \*sl1 pwise, yf, k1\* , repeat \* to \* to the end of the row. Row 2 and all following rows: \*sll1 pwise, yf, k2tog\*, repeat \* to \* to the end of the row. When you have just enough yarn left to bind off and seam bottom and top sides together, bind off knitting 2 stitches together everytime you come to a “brioche” double stitch. You should obtain a rectangle measuring approximately 30cm wide x 50cm long. With your rectangle laid flat, twist one side and seam both ends together using leftover yarn. You should be able to fit the finished cowl snugly around your neck and remember to wash it in order to let it stretch lengthwise.
