PATTERN NOTES

· Pattern can use any method of knitting in the round. · Instructions allow for the slightly forward placement of the thumb palmward, and the slightly lower position of the pinkie relative to the ring finger. · When working the fingers, it is easy to use a second 2.50 mm needles instead of the stitch holders. Not only will it hold your stitches (just leave the ends dangling out of the way), but you can easily knit the stitches you need for the next finger as you come to it and leave the rest on the needle. · Size can be adjusted by changing needle size or gauge. Smaller fingers can be accommodated by casting on 3 sts between fingers instead of 4. · There may be “holes” or gaps at the base of the fingers. These can be sewn up afterwards using yarn tails (which need to be woven in anyway), or you can try picking up extra sts at the beginning of the finger rounds for ring, middle and index fingers as follows: PU an extra st in gap, PU 4 sts along CO edge, PU another extra st in gap, work rest of round as instructed. On the next round, decrease these extra sts by doing a K2tog or ssk. · If full gloves are desired, simply keep knitting the fingers until you are within 2-3 rows of the tip. Then do a couple of decrease rounds by knitting 2 sts together across the round.Pull yarn tail through remaining stitches and fasten off.
