Aristides
Aristides was spun, knit and designed for the 4 ounce challenge, to come up with a knitted item that would use only 4 ounces of handspun or less. I chose to knit a simple beret that showcased the shifting color changes that occur spontaneously in handspun yarn. I named the pattern Aristides after the first horse to ever win the Kentucky Derby, since the hand-dyed fiber used is named Kentucky Derby I thought it was quite fitting. One does not necessarily have to use handspun yarn for this beret, I'm sure a Woc commercial or hand-dyed fingering weight yarn would look lovely as Aristides. Prel Designed to be knit from the crown down, you'll be able to get the perfect amount of slouch you desire for your beret. Aristides is sized from youth to adult
