Chunky Cable Beanie

Materials:
Chunky Wool, depending on the yarn 3.5 - 5.3 ounces [100 - 150 grams] 3.5 ounce = 109 yard (100 gram = 100 meters) Straight knitting needles, US size 10 and 11 (or size needed for gauge) [EU 6 mm and 7 mm] Cable Needle Tapestry Needle Scissors
Gauge:
In stockinette stitch on needle size 11 [EU 7] , 12 stitches and 17 rows = 4" [10 cm] Gauge swatch: 4" [10 cm] square Cast on 12 stitches loosely. Work in Stockinette Stitch for 17 rows. Bind off all stitches in pattern.
Abbreviations:
P = Purl K =Knit KFB = Knit Front Back; knit the stitch but don't slip it onto the right needle, knit same stitch trough back loop, slip. One increase made. C12F = Cable 12 Front; put 6 stitches on cable needle, hold in front of work, knit 4 stitches, knit stitches from cable needle. C12B = Cable 12 Back; put 6 stitches on cable needle, hold at back of work, knit 4 stitches, knit stitches from cable needle. C8F = Like C12F, except for the usage of 4 stitches on cable needle. C8B = Like C12B, except for the usage of 4 stitches on cable needle. C4F = Like C12B, except for the usage of 2 stitches on cable needle. C4B = Like C12B, except for the usage of 2 stitches on cable needle. SSK = Slip Slip Knit; Slip 2 stitches, one at a time as if to knit, to the right needle. Insert the left needle into the fronts of these two stitches and knit them together. One decrease made. K2T = Knit Two Together; knit two stitches together. One decrease made. SL1 = Slip One Stitch; slip one stitch knit-wise from left to right needle without knitting. PSSO = Pass Slipped Stitch Over; pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch(es)

Needle Size 10 [6 mm] Row 1: (K1, P1) across Repeat Row 1 for pattern

Change to larger size needles Row 35 : Knit d of yarn, pull through the 7 stitches to bind off. Close the seam with tapestry needl
