Back:
Cast on 95 st and work 4 rows in garter stitch. Next round: follow chart 1, you begin with 11 st at the row 1. work pattern repeat 6 times and ending with 12 stitches after the last repeat. Knit rows 1 - 26 Repeat rows 7 - 26 two times, Work 1 time rows 7 - 12 Knit 6 rows in stockinette stitch (= 82 rows). At the same time work decreases 4 st up to midriff on the both sides the 1st st in 6th row and 3 st in each 14th row (95 - 2 x 4 = 87 st). Adapt all decreases into the lace pattern. Next round: Continue in St. St. as following: \*4 rows with white yarn, 2 rows with blue yarn, \* repeat 2 times, 36 rows with white yarn up to the armholes. At the same time work increases 4 st on the both sides the 1st st in 62th row and 3rd st in each 16th row (87 + 2 x 4 = 95 st). When you have completed 36 rows in white yarn bind off alremaining stitches.
Front:
Work as for back until armholes. Start armhole shaping as follow: bind off in each 2nd row on both sides 3 st x 3 times, 2 st x4 times, 1 st x1 time. At the same time when you have completed 46 rows with white color begin with neck shaping: bind off 15 st at center and finish each side separately. Bind off at neck edge in each 2nd row 10 st x1 time and 12 st X 1 time.
Finishing:
Join side seams. Pick up around neck edge (between stripes) 58 st with red yarn, knit the 1st row on the left side. Knit further in rib pattern. Thereby begin with 2 Knit st and end with 2 Knit st. Work 6 rows, bind off all stitches. Pick up 142 st around each armhole and back edge with red yarn. Begin and end at the neck edges you've just finished. Work as for the neck in rib pattern, bind off all stitches.
Straps:
Cast on 12 st, work 1st - 8th rows according to chart 2, repeat 5th - 8th 33 times or individually according to desired stripe length. Bind off all stitches, sew the stripes and buttons.
Starfish:
