Blocking: Suggest soaking the coasters in sudsy hot water for about 30 minutes. That helps for rough fique fibers to relax and soften up.Lay flat on the towel to air dry. If your coaster is not really flat due to the nature of the fiber, put something heavy on a damp coaster for a period of time. That should help to flatten it and tame the fiber. Once fique is dry it hardens again. Use with abundance!
