Yarn
2 skeins Lana Vida Francesca (or approximately 220yds/201m of Bulky weight yarn) Scrap yarn for provisional cast on
Materials
US 10.5 (6.5mm) straight or circular needles US J (6mm) crochet hook or similar size used for provisional crochet cast on 1 single needle of similar size for use in 3 needle bind off Darning needle Stitch markers (optional) Gauge 12sts and 20 rows per 4"/10cm StitchGuide Seed stitch - Row 1: (k1, p1) to the end of row Row 2: (p1, k1) to the end of row Repeat these 2 rows purling the knits and knitting the purls 8sts Reversible cable - Slip 4 on to cable needle and hold to the front, (k1, p1) 2x, (k1, p1) 2x from cable needle. You may want to place a stitch marker before and after each cable section to easily distinguish from the seed stitch sections.
Directions
Cast on 32 stitches using your preferred provision cast on method. Row 1: Work 4sts in seed stitch, follow line 1 from Chart A, work 8sts in seed stitch, follow line 1 from Chart A, work 4sts in seed stitch. Row 2: Work 4sts in seed stitch, follow line 2 from Chart A, work 8sts in seed stitch, follow line 2 from Chart A, work 4sts in seed stitch. Row 3: Work 4sts in seed stitch, follow next line from Chart A, work 8sts in seed stitch follow next line from Chart A, work 4sts in seed stitch. Repeat Row 3 until piece measures 36" (91.5cm) or until you have approximately 1yd (91.5cm) of yarn left or until desired length. Try to end on row 8 or 16 of Chart A.
Finishing
Unzip provisional cast on and put the live stitches on the needles. ? 2013 - Hillary Klein - For personal use only. Bind off loosely using 3 needle bind off. Block lightly, weave in the ends and be warm!
