Structure
Cuff: 14 rows or about 3 cm of 2 knit (k), 2 purl (p) in green and jeans with eternity stripes Leg: half of the leg (6 cm/6.5 cm/7 cm/7.5 cm) is striped (eternity technique) in green and jeans and the other half is striped in brown and turquoise. Heel: rainbow heel, a short row heel with double stitches, first part in turquoise, 2. part in green, 3. part in jeans and 4. part in brown Foot: 6 cm/6.5 cm/7 cm/7.5 cm brown and turquoise in eternity stripes and then in green and jeans till you measure 18.5 cm/20 cm/21 cm/22 cm from the tip of the heel

Eternity" Technique

Cast on 60/60/64/64 stitches with Color 1 (here red) and put them equally to the four needles. Knit and purl (k and p) to the end of needle 3. Move Work in your hands. Start color 2 (here white) at the beginning of needle 1 and k and p it's stitches. K and p 2.needle in color 2. Move work in your hands (mw). K and p 4.needle in color 1. K and p 1.needle in color 1. Mw. K and p 3.needle in color 2. K and p 4.needle in color 2. Mw. K and p 2.needle in color 1. K and p 3.needle in color 1. Mw. K and p 1.needle in color 2. K and p 2.needle in color 2. Mw. After casting on and kniting to end of 3.needle you k '2 needles' with one color, mw and knit '2 needles' with other color, mw and so on and on. Easy, isn't it. Let me explain once more in a chart.

Rainbow Heel

Here ends or starts a needle Double stitch

Work the Heel in one or more colors with needle 1 and 4. Needle 2 and 3 is mostly put to rest. The Heel is knit in stockinet with short rows. (The heel starts on needle 1 second line in the chart and it also shows the first round of the foot)

1.row: knit needle 4 (already done by finishing the last round of the leg) and needle 1, turn 2.row: yif sl st pw yo (yarn in front slip stitch purlwise yarn over), purl needle 1 and 4, turn. 3.row: yif sl st pw yo, knit to the end of needle 1 but two (don't k the doubled st and the one next to it), turn 4.row: yif sl st pw yo, purl to the end of needle 4 but two (don't k the doubled st and the st next to it), turn 5.row: yif sl st pw yo, knit to the end of needle 1 but four, turn 6. row: yif sl st pw yo, purl to the end of needle 4 but four, turn 7. row: yif sl st pw yo, knit to the end of needle 1 but six, turn 8. row: yif sl st pw yo, purl to the end of needle 4 but six, turn 9. row: yif sl st pw yo, knit to the end of needle 1 but eight, turn 10.row: yif sl st pw yo, purl to the end of needle 4 but eight, turn 11. row: ...and so on and on... : knit over the "doubled slip stitches" of the previous row and one st before.
