There are many different variations you could try with colours and what to use as a loop to hang this mini tree on your big tree! I absolutely LovED the pattern from allaboutyou.com and I wanted to make them for my family, unfortunately my family only has small table top trees and they were just a bit big to hang off them (turns out larger than an iPhone) so after much frustration and testing I adapted the pattern to make the trees smaller This is my first pattern (which is super exciting) so I would LOvE feedback as I do aim to get into pattern creating

Instructions:
?Using CC, CO 4 Sts R1-6: Knit all rows (all Sts use garter stitch) cut yarn leaving enough to weave in ends R7: Using MC CO 5 Sts at beginning of row and knit across new Sts and established 'trunk Sts (9 Sts) ?R8: Using MC CO 5 Sts at beginning of row and knit across (14 Sts) ?R9-12: Knit 4 rows ?R13: K2Tg at beginning and end of row ?R14-17: Knit 4 rows ?R18: K2Tg at beginning and end of row ?R19-22: Knit 4 rows ?R23: K2Tg at beginning and end of row ?R24-26: Knit 3 rows ?R27: K2Tg at beginning and end of row ?R28-30: Knit 3 rows ?R31: K2Tg at beginning and end of row ?R32: K2Tg twice ?R33: K2Tg and cut yarn, pull yarn through last Sts to finish leaving enough to sew/weave in
Finishing:
Weave in ends and have as one piece OR Make 2 sides and sew together and stuff with wadding (this is my preference) Add sequins to decorate Use ribbon to sew to the tip of the tree to hang/or a simple 2 Sts iCord (for instructions on iCord visit http://verypink.com/2010/10/11/i-cord/) 2 sts can be fiddley but is the perfect size for this project. Mix up colours and do stripes by alternating 2 rows of green and 2 rows of red or a different green for added effect. Because the project is small you won't need to cut yarn to change colour. Mostly HAvE FUN and remember to smile when making these for that Christmas spirit! Use your imagination, add eyes and a mouth or something equally as funky - don't forget to share! I would LovE to see what you create with this, please share with me on ravelry, my blog or email! Any questions or problems email me
