Vancouver Hat
While watching the Winter Olympics in February, I noticed the hats the American commentater were wearing looked hand-knit. Modeled after those hats, this hat is knit with a large ribbed band, stockinette to the unisex decreases, and is turned inside out so the backside of the stockinette stitch is shown when worn.

Materials:
One set size $8\;16^{\circ}$ circular needles One set size 8 dpns $\bullet$ One skein Lion Brand Woolease in dark grey Darning needle
Sizes:
Child large (adult small adult large) 16 (20, 24)inches cirumference. Shown inAdult mall
Directions:
Cast on 80 (100, 120) stitches and join for working in the round. Knit in 2x2 ribbing for 5 (6, 7) inches. Knit in stockinette stitch for 5 (6, 7) inches. Set-Up Row For Decreases: Knit 18 (23, 28), pm, k2, pm, knit 18 (23, 28), pm, k2, pm, knit 18 (23,28), pm, k2, pm, knit 18 (23, 28), pm, k2, pm.
Decreases:
\*Knit to 2 stitches before marker, sk. Move marker and k2. Move marker, k2tog.\* Repeat between \* around until you have 8 (12, 8) stitches on the needles, switching to DPNs when you need to. Break yarn, leaving a $12^{\bullet}$ tail. Using darning needle, weave yarn tail through all stitches on needles to bind off Weave in all ends on RS of stockinette and turn hat so reverse side of stockinette is showing. Your hat is ready to wear!
