CHEVRONS SCARFLETTE
By A. May Designs THIS IS AN ADAPTATION OF SESAME SEED DESIGNS' “WAVY RAZOR SHELL SCARF" FOUND HERE: HTTP:/ /SESAMESEEDDESIGNS.COM/BLOG/2O06/O1/SCARF-PATTERNS/
Materials:
Needles: I used size 9, but you could go smaller or larger for your yarn. Yarn: I used 3 types just to clean out some scraps. You can vary the colors, use only one color, etc. I've marked my switches, but note that it was random and it really won't matter if you don't follow me exactly. Gauge wasn't very important. I used DK/worsted weight, but it could work in a thicker yarn, too. My smaller yarns yielded me a 5.5"-wide piece at a length of 30" unsewn.
Directions:
Cast on 35 stitches Row 1: purl across until last stitch, slip last stitch. Row 2: \*K2, yo,K3, S1 1 knitwise, K2tog, PSSO, K3 yo\*; repeat \*to\* twice, K1, slip last stitch These last two rows form the pattern. Repeat until piece measures \~ 30". \*\* Cast off. Weave in ends. Fold the cast off end back on itself (wrong sides together) for about 3" to form a tube at the end (If you use chunky yarn, bend it back 4"). Sew the cast-off end to the wrong side of the scarf, following a row as best you can Note: you will NOT be sewing along the zig-zag of color-measure and pin it to make a straight seam). To wear: Wrap around your neck. Slip the wavy loose end through the tube. Arrange as you like.

\*\*Here are my color changes between a variedthickness teal, (T) Lion Brand Amazing Yarn (A) in "Glacier Bay”', and a white DK-weight yarn (W):
