Notes: As soon as I finished the adult version of this sweater I thought about how cute it would be for my daughter. Here is the child's version of the Mesh Panel Tee. This sweater uses the contiguous method of knitting developed by Susie Myers (SusieM on Ravelry (http:// www.ravelry.com/people/SusieM). Knit from the top down using clever increases to shape the shoulders and sleeve caps, this method allows the knitter to knit a top down, seamless sweater with set-in sleeves in one piece. This sweater is a simple boat-neck style tee with a lovely easy lace panel inset below the neckline. Size: 4yrs, 6yrs, 8yrs, 10yrs (modeled in size 8 (she wears a 6-7)) Chest: 58.5 (63.5, 67, 71) cm; 23 (25, 26.5, 28)" Length: 30 (32.5, 37.5, 41.5) cm; 12 (13, 15, 16.5) Materials: This top is knit with two strands of yarn held together (except for lace portion). You may choose to split the skein in half or to knit from both the inside & outside of a centre pull ball. 1 skein of Madelinetosh, Tosh Lace (100% Superwash merino wool) Size 3.75 (US 5) circular needle (whichever length you prefer) Set of 3.75 dpns (I prefer magic loop for sleeves) Wasteyarn Tapestry needle Stitch markers
Gauge:
Stockinette: 22 sts and 28 rows = 10cm (4") with TWO strands held together Lace: 19 sts and 24 rows= 10cm (4") with ONE strand, slightly stretched a note about gauge: the lace panel does change the gauge of the stockinette both above and below for several rounds, making it somewhere closer to 10 sts over 10cm (4"). The pattern has been designed with that in mind.
