Abstract Rhombus
Finished size Women's Large: fits a foot circumference $\pmb{9.5^{\prime\prime}}$ and length 9.5" Unstretched sock has a foot circumference of $7.5^{\prime\prime}$ and is $\pmb{9.5^{\prime\prime}}$ long If you want to make a different size, adding a whole pattern repeat makes the socks much bigger; subtracting a repeat makes them very much smaller. So if you want to knit this pattern but you have smaller feet one solution is to use finer yarn and different needle size. The pattern is a 12 stitch

repeat I used 72 stitches (6 pattern repeats, 3 repeats on top of foot): if you are an experienced sock knitter, sock can be made using 66 stitches (5 pattern repeats, 2.5 repeats on top of foot).
Materials:
Skinny Bugga Sangria Heart Butterfly (MC) (sock used 60g/240yards) Skinny Bugga Adonis Butterfly (CC) (sock used 40g/160yards) [Or any other sock yarn that will give gauge]
Needles:
$3.00\:\mathsf{m m}$ circular needle, 2.75mm circular needle, 2.25mm circular needle (Sock is done using the Magic loop technique) Tapestry needle
Gauge:
9 stitches and 10 rows per inch over stranded rhombus pattern with 3.0 mmneedle 9 stitches and 12 rows per inch over stockinette stitch with $2.25\;\mathrm{mm}$ needle

Instructions
Cuff
With MC and 3.o0 mm needles, using long tail cast on over 2 needles, CO 72 Sts. Join by slipping last stitch over first stitch and being careful not to twist stitches. You will have 36 Sts on the front/instep needle and 36 stitches on the back/heel/sole needle. Round 1: K2 with MC, P2 with CC (corrugated ribbing) Repeat this round for approximatively 1.5 inches (about 16 rows).
Leg
Switch to 2.75 mm needle and begin working pattern chart. Work 3 repeats of chart for each needle (total of 6 repeats for one round).Work in pattern until desired leg length (5 inches); finishing the pattern after row 2 or 14 in order to give the balance to the pattern .
Heel Flap
Change to 2.25 mm needle, you will be working over one needle only and with MC only do not cut CC you will pick it up after the heel turn. Work back and forth in rows. This sock is made with an Eye of Partridge heel with a 3 garter stitch edge. Set up row for heel flap: (Ws) P2, PFB, purl to end of row (you now 37 stitches on the heel needle, an odd number of stitches for the sole will needed from now on). Row 1: (RS): P3, $^{*}\mathsf{K}\mathsf{1}.$ , sl1wyb\*to last 4 stitches, K4 Row 2: (WS): K3, purl to end Row 3: (RS): P3,\*s1wyb, K1\*to last for 4 stitches, sl1, K3 Row 4: (WS): K3 purl to end Repeat row 1 to 4, until you done 38 rows (this includes set up row) ending after a right side row (row 1).
Heel Turn
Row 1: (WS) SL1, P20, P2tog, P1 turnRow 2: (RS) SL1, K6, SSK, K1, turn Notice that there is a small gap that forms between the working stitches and the unworked stitches. Row 3: (WS) SL1 purl to within 1 stitch of gap, P2tog (1 st on each side of gap, you are closing the gap), P1, turn Row 4: (RS) SL1 knit to within 1 stitch of gap, SSK, K1, turn Repeat row 3 and 4, working 1 additional knit or purl stitch after SL1 until all stitches have been worked, ending with a right side row. You now have 21 stitches remaining on the back/sole needle.
Gusset shaping
On the heel flap side, with 2.75 mm needle and MC pick up and knit 1 st for each garter ridge, total of 19 stitches plus one additional stitch to close gap at join between heel and leg, put marker. On instep knit in rhombus pattern at row where you had left off, cut CC yarn (will be weaved in later), put marker. On the other side of the heel flap, with MC PU one extra stitch to close hole at heel join, and pick up and knit 1 st for each garter ridge (19 stitches plus the extra stitch makes 20 new stitches), knit 10 of the original heel stitches. You now have a total of 97 stitches (21 heel $+\,20$ heelflap $+\,36$ instep $+\,20$ heelflap). Rearrange stitches as follows, beginning of round will now be at center of bottomoffoot Needle A: 49 stitches, (11 heel stitches, 20 heel flap, 18 instep) Needle B: 48 stitches (18 stitches instep $+\ 20$ heel flap $+\,10$ heel) Re-attach CC. Needle A: with MC start pinstripe pattern until marker SM, knit in rhombus on remaining 18instep stitches Needle B: knit in rhombus pattern for 18 instep stitches, slip marker and with MC start pinstripe pattern for the remaining 30 stitches
Gusset decreases

Foot Rearrange stitches as they were before the heel Needle 1: 37 sole stitches Needle 2: 36 instep stitches Continue in rhombus pattern on instep and in pinstripe on sole until sock is 2 inches less than desired length ending if possible after a row 2 or 14 to get a full pattern repeat.
