Row 1 (RS): k1, ssk, k to 3 sts before end, k2tog, k1 Row 2: p all sts Repeat last 2 rows 16 times more or until piece measures 6.25". On next RS row, bind off all sts and weave in ends. You will now have a trapezoid measuring $22.5^{\circ}$ on the bottom and about $13.25^{\circ}$ on the top. Wrap the knitted piece around your neck and adjust tightness as desired. Measure length of ends to where they overlap and mark. With leftover yarn and tapestry needle, gather ends by lacing yarn through, pulling tight, then wrapping yarn around once or twice. Fasten and weave in ends.

With sewing needle and thread, sew snaps in middle of gathering, with one half on the top (knit side) and one half on the bottom (purl side). Block as desired.
