RowanFelted Tweed dk: Duck egg (25 gram) Maritime (10 gram) Rage (6 gram) sock needles 3 & 3.25 mm tapestry needle scrap yarn 2 markers
Abbreviations:
p = purl k = knit rnd(s) = round(s) tbol = through back of loop m1L = make 1 left (pick up the bar between the last stitch you knit and the one you are about to knit, bringing the needle from the front to the back, then knit into the back of this stitch) m1R = make 1 right (pick up the bar between the last stitch you knit and the one you are about to knit, bringing the needle from the back to the front, then knit into the front of this stitch) sts = stitches inc = increase pm = place marker stst = stocking stitch
Gauge:
10x10 cm (4x4 inch) = 25 sts x 34 rows in stst Herman is definitely a “Hartendiefje" (Dutch word for someone who steals your heart). He is always around everything i do with his beautiful loving character so these mitts are specially made for cuddling him ;)


Changing colors in circular knitting creates a step, or "jog" in the work. Since rounds of knitting do not nestle on top of each other like stacks of plates but as a spiral you can do something to minimize the interruption made when a new color is introduced. Directions:
Cast on 44 (46) (48) sts with needles 3 mm and color Duck egg. Join in the round, making sure not to twist your sts. \* K1tbol/p1 (= twisted rib) - 10 rnds \* 3.25 mm needles - Work chart - Maritime / Rage - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Knit 5 rnds - Duck egg - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Work chart - Maritime / Rage - jog alert rnd 2!! 1. Knit all sts (M) \* Knit 5 rnds - in rnd 5 pm after 15th & 18th (16th & 19th) (17th & 20th) st for left hand or after 29th & 32nd (28th & 31st) (27th & 30th) st for 2. \*K1(M)/K1(R)\* right hand) - Duck egg - jog alert rnd 2!! 3. as rnd 1 \* Work chart - (m1R after first marker & m1L before 2nd marker in rnds 1 & 4. \*K1(R)/K1(M)\* 5) - Maritime / Rage - 48 (50) (52) sts - jog alert rnd 2!! 5. as rnd 1 \* Knit 5 rnds - (m1R after first marker & m1L before 2nd marker in rnd 3) - Duck egg - 50 (52) (54) sts - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Work chart - (m1R after first marker & m1L before second marker in rnds 1 & 5)- Maritime / Rage 54 (56) (58) sts - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Knit 5 rnds - (m1R after first marker & m1L before second marker in rnd 3) - In rnd 5 knit to first marker, remove marker, place next 15 sts on scrap yarn to work later, remove second marker, cast on 3 sts and work rest of rnd - Duck egg - 44 (46) (48) sts - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Work chart - Maritime / Rage - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Knit 1 rnd - Duck egg \* 3 mm needles - (K1tbol/P1) - 9 (10) (10) rnds & cast off in pattern - Duck egg - jog alert rnd 1!!

\* 3.25 mm - Transfer 8 sts to needle 1, 7 sts to needle 2, pick up & knit 5 sts with needle 3 & knit 1 rnd - Duck egg - 20 sts \* Work chart - Maritime / Rage - jog alert rnd 2!! \* Knit 1 rnd - Duck egg \* 3 mm - (K1tbol/P1) - 3 (3) (4) rnds & cast off loosely in pattern - Duck egg - jog alert rnd 1!! Sew in all loose ends and make the other one, happy knitting!
