2x 100g Hawthorne Cottage Hand spun Chunky (MC) ≈ 90m 1 x 25g Elann Super Kydd Mohair (CC) \~237m [Or any other combination of super thick and super fine yarns that you happen to have in your stash!] 12.00mm circular knitting needles Gauge: Not really important and quite tricky to measure accurately! My shawl measured ≈ 50cm x 1m, but is very, very stretchy! Cast on 50 sts very loosely with MC. Slide stitches back to beginning of the needle, join in cc. R1) CC knit all R2) CC purl all sts R3) CC knit all sts R4) CC purl all sts Slide stitches to the beginning of the row to pick up Mc\* R5) MC knit all sts Repeat rows 1-5, carrying yarn not in use up the side of the work \* Note: As you only ever work one row at a time with the thicker yarn, you will often need to slide your stitches to the beginning of the row to pick up the correct yarn in the sequence. Continue in pattern until there is enough MC remaining to work a cast off row, finishing with R4. Cast off very loosely in Mc. My 2 skeins of Super Chunky yarn allowed me to knit 48 rows of MC, plus cast on and cast off rows, (also in Mc). You'll probably get a slightly different number of rows due to the wide variations in thickness of this type of super bulky hand spun yarn.
