50's Knitted Knotted Headband

Whether you want to spruce up a weekend outfit or just to pull your hair back while doing chores or putting on make-up-this cute and stylish headband will do the trick. This project is great for stash busting or a last minute gift as it's all in garter stitch and can be worked up in a matter of hours.

Size 7 Needles 75 yds Worsted Weight Yarn Yarn Needle
Abbreviations:
KFB = Knit through Front & Back Loop SKP = Slip 1, Knit 1, Pass Slipped Stitch Over K2tog = Knit 2 Stitches Together

First Wing
Cast On 2 Stitches Row 1: K Row 2: KFB, K until 1 stitch remains, KFB Rows 3 & 4: K Repeat Rows 2-4 until there are 10 (10, 14, 14) stitches K for 4 (4, 8, 8) rows Row 1: SKP, K until 2 stitches remain, K2tog Row 2 &3: K Repeat Rows 1-3 until 4 (4, 6, 6) stitches remain First Neck K for 4 rows Row 1: KFB, k until 1 stitch remains, KFB Row 2: K Repeat Rows 1&2 until there are 6 (6, 10, 10) stitches
Second Neck
Row 1: SKP, K until 1 stitch remains, K2tog Row2:K Repeat Rows 1&2 until 4 (4, 6, 6) stitches remain K for 4 rows
Second Wing
Row 1: K Row 2: KFB, k until 1 stitch remains, KFB Rows 3 & 4: K Repeat rows 2-4 until there are 10 (10, 14, 14) stitches K for 4 (4, 8, 8) rows Row 1: SKP, K until 2 stitches remain, K2tog Row 2 &3: K Repeat until 2 stitches remain Finishing Bind off and weave in ends Use the 2 necks to tie a knot
