Pattern Notes

This shawl is worked mainly in Garter St with simple increases and decreases along one side. A slipped stitch section is incorporated to add a little diversity to the knitting and to emphasize the contrast between the two yarn colors chosen for the shawl. While working the slipped stitch section, be sure to carry the yarn not in use up the side of the shawl. This will greatly diminish the number of ends to be woven in during finishing. Additionally, since the shawl is worked mostly in Garter St, you may wish to use a removable st marker or a piece of contrasting color scrap yarn to mark the RS of the garment. This will make it easier to track which row is to be worked.
