Bulky Hoodie Lori Cerny 2013

I live at 42° North latitude and East of Lake Erie... winters are often snowy with gusts of frigid air. This hooded pullover was created with features to combat my local weather and is meant to be worn as a layering piece. The neckline, body, and hem are loose and boxy to accommodate wearing the pullover on top of turtlenecks and, in extreme cases, another sweater. The sleeves are longish to pull hands up inside, yet the cufs are snug to block wind. The hood is tapered at the neck so there isn't too much material if you like to cinch scarves around your neck - as I do. The hood is also on the long side to pull up over bulky winter hats. Hoodie should be an oversized fit for an XL/1X Woman.

Notes:
I am a loose knitter and you may require extra yarn to complete your hoodie. I finished each skein approximately at.. First = two rows after placing the arm stitches on holders. Second = when the body was about 15" long. Third = the remainder of the body and one arm. Fourth = the second arm and 10' of the hood. Fifth = 4"' of the hood. To change skeins, hold 8" of both yarn tails together and knit with both tails. After a couple rounds, tug both tail ends to snug the yarn and weave in loose ends.
