PATTERN NOTES: Lace Diamonds and Cable Waves and Comb Stitch Version 1 are both repeats of 12 stitches; an additional 2 stitches on the outer edge will remain in garter stitch. The Brisket Cable pattern is a 13-stitch repeat, so only one st will remain in garter on the outer edge. For all edgings, one stitch on the inner edge willbe knitted together with the body of the shawl on each right-side row. When the work is turned to the back side, this stitch will be slipped purl-wise wyif. On all three edgings, the WS row is consistent.

NOTES ONBLOCKING
This yarn at this gauge has plenty of stretch. Take your time and use lots of pins. You can begin by pinning the two crescent points in place, then pinning down the center of your outer edge as a guide to where the rest of the curve will go. Pins on the inner edge are not necessary. Use approximately one pin for every two ridges on the outer edge to achieve best results. Don't be afraid to readjust if you stand back and the shape doesn't look right. The shawl should be blocked fairly aggressively and be allowed to dry completely to ensure the edges lay down as flat as possible once pins are removed.
