Ombre Cowl
Ombre Cowl is completely reversible. Knit in the round, and so much fun to see the colors develop. You can choose tones of the same colors, a rainbow, any colors you want. Uses any fingering or sock yarn, and you can mix and match brands to get just the right color mix. You only need to know how to knit and purl. You need only 6 colors of fingering sock yarn, or 1 color of worsted. Yarn -Knit Picks Palette in 8 colors Needle - 9 us (5.50 mm) or what you need to get gauge Gauge - 16.0 sts = 4 inches Yardage - 50 yards of 4 colors, and 25 yards of the center color, 60 yards of your edging color 300 yards total of sock or 150 yards of worsted Sizes-AverageCowl 20"inches long x 7"inches wide Cowl shown with Knit picks Palette

A- Blue Note Heather 60 yards B- Jay 50 yards C- Marine Heather 50 yards D- Forest Heather 50 yards E- Ivy 50 yards F- Rainforest Heather 25 yards Round 1: (Knit 1, purl 1) repeat to the last stitch, knit 1 Round 2: (Purl 1, knit 1) repeat to the last stitch, purl 1 This is your 2 rows for seed stitch to repeat You will work this throughout the whole pattern without breaks
For the 6 color scarf
Cast on 83 stitches using the long tail cast on, using 2 strands of color A Work 4 rounds with A and A, then break off 1 of the A yarns, and join B Work 5 rounds with A and B, then break off A, and join C Work 5 rounds with B and C, then break off B, and join D Work 5 rounds with C and D, then break off C, and join E Work 5 rounds with D and E, then break off D, and join F Work 5 rounds with E and F, then break off F, and join D Work 5 rounds with E and D, then break off E, and join C Work 5 rounds with D and C, then break off D, and join B Work 5 rounds with C and B, then break off C, and join A Work 5 rounds with B and A, then break off B, and join 2nd A Work 4 rounds with A and A, then bind off in pattern
