Glossary

Ssk: (slip, slip, knit) slip next two stitches, one at a time, knitwise, to the right needle, insert the left needle into the front legs of those sts and knit them together.

K2tog: knit 2 stitches together

m1: Make one stitch by inserting the left hand needle from front to back under the strand between the last stitch worked and the nextstitch on the needle.Knit into the back loop of this stitch to 'make one'. pm: Place marker RC: Right Cross- skip 1 stitch, k1, purl the skipped stitch, slide both off left hand needle. LC: Left Cross- Slip 1 stitch to cable needle and hold in front, p1, k1 from the cable needle OR don't use a cable needle: skip 1 stitch, p1, gently slide both stitches off the left hand needle and use your fingers to free the skipped stitch and knit it. I find this easier than using a cable needle for a single left cross. Diamond Panel: Right side rows shown. Wrong side rows knit stitches as presented (knit the knits and purl the purls)
