Using US size #11 needles pickup the 11sts off the stitch holder. Make a knot to secure. Sew up the thumb seam. Note: Because of the large needle size, I needed to tighten the holes made where the increase to the palm occurred.

FINISHING

Sew up side seams of the mittens. On the cross stitch palm side sew from the very edge of the work while taking the full extra stitch on the other side so that only one complete rib is shown. When you get to the cuff you will then take more from both sides so that you end up with a small purl rib. Weave in all ends.
