A Little Textured Vest
By Joji Locatelli

Sometimes my boys need something, and if I feel inspired, I sometimes design something that I really like. In those cases, I like to share it with others. This little vest was designed to fit 12 months to 12 year old boys and girls. It is intended to be warm and cozy with a comfy fit. I hope you enjoy knitting it!
Sizes:
12 months (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 years) Nano is 3 and a half years and he is modeling size 6 years.
Gauge:
17 st to 10 cm (4 inches) on $4{,}5\mathsf{m m}$ needles, in stockinette stitch. Gauge in stitch pattern changes a lot after blocking. I thought it would be more helpful to use the gauge in stockinette.
Materials:
Milana Chelsea - Aran weight yarn - $75\%$ merino / $25\%$ cotton - 209 yards every 100g. Grams: I won't have this info until other test knitters finish the othersizes. Size 6 took180g. Yards: I won't have this info untilother test knitters finish the other sizes. Size 6 took aprox 380 yds. 4mm (US 6) straight or circular needles for hem 4mm (Us 6) circular needles for neckband 4,5mm (US 7) straight or circular needles for body One button or toggle of your choice.
Notes:
There are two charts. Chart A is only used for size 12 months and 2 years, because they are smaller and the stitch counts weren't right using chart B. All the other sizes will use Chart B for the pattern Sstitch. All directions are in centimeters. To convert them to inches, please divide that number by 2.5. Also, when measuring the garment, you will notice that the garter stitch bands on the side make the edges shorter than the center of the garment. This is intentional and is part of the design. Please measure your garment in the middle (cable section) where it should be longest.
