Skill Level Ambitious Beginner Sizes Adult One Size (fits feet sizes 7-9)

Finished measurements
11" long from heel tip to toe tip. $1\,1\,\,1/_{2}{}^{,,}$ wide at the base, before closing.
Materials
Mary Maxim Titan (85 g/80 yds) yarn (or any sturdy, buiky weight yarn that will give you the correct gauge.) 2 skeins of MC for background (shown in White) 1 skein of CC for ribbons (shown in Light Dusty Rose) US #8 $(5\;\mathsf{m m})$ knitting needles or size to obtain gauge. Yarn needle Gauge 8 sts and 9 rows on $4^{\bullet}$ using ribbon pattern in st st.
Notes
Skills required: garter & stockinette st, working with 2 colours, increase & decrease. To keep both colours from tangling, keep one skein of each colour on each side of you, and always keep the same colour above the other one when switching colours. You do not need to weave in or catch the floats, as they are not very long. Make sure you keep your floats loose enough to not tighten the slipper, and to give it some stretch for putting on your feet. I chose to use pink and white for this pattern to represent breast cancer research, but you may chose to combine any colours and create these slippers for any other causes.

Finishing
Break MC yarn, leaving a tail of about $10^{\circ}$ . Thread tail through remaining 11 sts and remove from needle; close tightly. Weave in CC tails before sewing close. Fold bottom base in half and sew both sides together with MC tail to close heel. Then sew both sides of the slipper down the middle for about $5^{\circ}$ , or until the hole for the foot is the desired size. Weave in all loose ends. Wash and block yarn (if needed) according to manufacturer's instructionslf youneed tomakethebottmsturdier, youcantryputingon somefabricglu, which also has the advantage of making it non-skid. Work the pattern in the same way for second slipper.
