Cast-on
I-cord cast-on 66 sts (or you can add sts in groups of5 for a wider shawl) Knit 1 row placing a marker affer 1st 3, then every 5 sts across, with 3 at end
Beginning Border
First & last 3 sts will be k, p, k every row (seed st), throughout entire shawl. Between seed st edging, for border work chart 12x (or more if you added for wider) across, and for as many repeats as you would like. I did 3 ull repeats. Chart (repeat every 5 sts marked off for border)

Written instructions (repeat every 5 sts marked of for border) Row 1 (rs): p1, 21lpc (see special instructions), p1 Row 2 (ws): p2, yo, p2 Row 3 (rs): p1, k3, pl Row 4 (ws): p5 I suggest a minimum of 3 repeats Next begin the body of the shawl.
Body of Shawl
Continue working the 1st & last 3 in seed st, along with one chart on each side (consult photo if needed). The center between will be stockinette for the length of the shawl. Work the length you would like your shawl to be, remember to make it long enough to wrap comfortably around ones shoulders & have a drape in front so it is not falling off. I recommend a minimum of at least 55 to 60", then you wil add your markers every five again & do the same number of chart repeats. Finish with I-cord bind-off Weave in your ends, give as a gift to one who has a need. Copyright 2013 Connie Davis. This pattern is for personal use.
