4.5mm straight needles 6 rows/ 4sts per inch in Stockinette Stitch 4.5mm 16" circular knitting needles Dimensions: Two skeins of Lion Brand Homespun (Windsor) 24" in circumference at waist/ 14" in height Stitch Holders Stitch Markers (you'll need at least four)
Notes:
If you want to make it easier to sew the sweater together and pick up stitches, slip the first stitch of each row. I have written the pattern as if you chose not to do that.
Instructions:
(Front of Sweater):
With the straight needles, cast on 46 stitches. I used the long tail cast on. Work in k2, p2 pattern until work is 2 inches from bottom, ending on the wrong side. Work in Stockinette Stitch until work is 12 inches from bottom, ending on the wrong side.
(Right Shoulder):
Row 1: Knit across 29 stitches. Place the middle 12 on a stitch holder. Now knit the remaining 17 sts. w 2: We will now work only on the last 17 stitches. Purl all 17 sts. Row 3: K 1, ssk, k 14 sts. (16 sts) Row 4: Purl 16 sts. Row 5: K 1, ssk, k 13. (15 sts) Row 6: Purl 15 sts. Row 7: K 1, ssk, k 12. (14 sts) Row 8: P 11, ssp, p 1. (13 sts) Row 9: K 1, ssk, k 10. (12 sts) Row 10: P 9, ssp, p 1. (11 sts) Row 11: K 1, ssk, k 8. (10 sts) Row 12: Purl all 10 sts. Bind off all 10 stitches. (Left Shoulder): Row 1 (Ws): Join yarn, and purl all 17 sts. Row 2: K 14, k2tog, k 1. (16 sts) Row 3: Purl 16 sts. Row 4: K 13, k2tog, k 1. (15 sts) Row 5: Purl 15 sts. Row 6: K 12, k2tog, k 1. (14 sts) Row 7: P 1, p2tog, p 11. (13 sts) Row 8: K 10, k2tog, k 1. (12 sts) Row 9: P 1, p2tog, p 9. (11 sts) Row 10: K 8, k2t0g, k 1. (10 sts) Row 11: Purl 10 sts. Bind off all 10 sts.

(Back of Sweater):

Knit in Stockinette Stitch until work is 14 inches in height from bottom, ending on the wrong side. Bind off 10 stitches. Knit 25 sts. Bind off 10 stitches. Place all 26 stitches on holder. Measure 5 inches down from the top of each shoulder and place a stitch marker. Sew the shoulders of the sweater together.

(28 sts) Work in Stockinette Stitch for 7 rows. K 1, ssk, k 22, k2tog, k1. (26 sts) Work 3 rows in Stockinette Stitch. bind off all 26 stitches. Work in k2, p2 pattern until sleeve is a total of 11 inches in height. End on the wrong side and
(Collar):
At the back of the sweater, knit all 26 stitches off of holder and onto 16" circular needles. Pick up 11 stitches down the left neck edge. Knit all 12 stitches off of front holder. Pick up 11 stitches up the right neck edge. You should now have 60 stitches on your needles. Join in the round. Knit one round. Work in k2, p2 pattern for 1 inch. Bind off loosely. Sew or crochet the sweater together and weave in all of your ends. You may now wash and block your sweater according to your yarn's instructions. nere, so I'm just going to add in some pictures I took of the sweate
