GAUGE
In garter stitch, 20 sts and 34 rows = 4" after blocking Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. While exact gauge is not crucial, it will affect the size of the shawl and the amount of yarn used.

Row 1 (rs): Kf&b. Row 2(ws): K1, kf&b. Row 3: Kl, kf&b, kl. Row 4: K2, kf&b, kl. Row 5: Kl, kf&b, k3. Row 6: K4, kf&b, kl: 7 sts on needle. Row 1 (Rs): K1, kf&b, k to end. Row 2: K to last 2 sts, kf&b, k1. Row 3: K1, kf&b, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. Row 4: K to last 2 sts, kf&b, kl: 10 sts on needle. Rep Rows 1-4 until there are 94 sts on needle. If you are making the shawl larger or smaller, stop when you have an even number of stitches.

Eyelet Section
Join B. Row 1 (Rs): With B, kl, kf&b, k to end of row. Row 2 (ws): K to last 2 sts, kf&b, k1. Row 3: With A, kl, kf&b, \*yo, k2tog. Rep from \* to last 2 sts, k2. Row 4: K to last 2 sts, kf&b, k1. Work Rows 1-4 a total of 14 times. Then work Rows 1 & 2 once more: 152 sts on needle.
Ridge Section
Cut A. Continue with B only. Row 1: K1, kf&b, k to end of row. Row 2: P to last 2 sts, pf&b, p1. Row 3: K1, kf&b, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. Row 4: K to last 2 sts, kf&b, k1. Work Rows 1-4 a total of 15 times. Then work Rows 1 & 2 once more: 199 sts on needle.
Picot Bind-off
\*Cast on 2 sts, bind off 6 sts, slip st from right hand needle to left hand needle. Rep from \* to end of row, end with bind off 5 sts.
FINISHING
Work in loose ends. Block to finished measurements.
